In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Board of
Directors of Nictus is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Day Mandy as an
independent, non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee, with effect from 12 March
2013.

Mr Mandy is a qualified chartered accountant (Namibia) and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of
Secretaries and has a number of years of experience in senior executive roles at Pupkewitz Group
Holdings, Namibian Harvest Investments Limited, Stock and Stock Properties and Arthur Anderson &
Co. In addition, Mr Mandy occupied the position of chief executive officer of the Namibian Stock
Exchange for a period of 10 years until the end of 2012.
