INTEREST PAYMENT

Bondholders of the Shoprite Investments Convertible    Bond are hereby advised that the SHPCB convertible bond will commence
trading ex-interest, with respect to the interest     coupon period starting 03 October 2012 and ending on 02 April 2013,
from the close of trade on 22 March 2013 until the    close of trade on 02 April 2013. The interest amount to be paid on 03
April 2013 will be ZAR325.00 for each ZAR10,000.00    of Principal Amount for the period 03 October 2012 to 02 April 2013.
The next interest coupon period will commence on 03   April 2013 (inclusive) and will end on 03 October 2013 (exclusive).
