The Group has undergone major change under his leadership and we have all learnt greatly from him, particularly in his role as Chairman. We would like to thank him for his efforts over the years and wish him all the best in his retirement. Edward Beale has today joined the Board and will be taking over as Chairman following the AGM. He is a chartered accountant with many years of experience in distribution and retail businesses. He is also an expert on corporate governance having been lead author of the Quoted Companies Alliance’s guide on corporate governance for smaller quoted companies and their guide for audit committees, and on their working group preparing a guide for remuneration committees.
