APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


The Board of Directors of Iliad Africa Limited, the general and specialised building materials
supply group, proudly announces that Mr Andile Sangqu has been appointed as an
independent non-executive director effective 1st March 2013.


Andile is a well-known business leader, and has provided leadership and guidance in various
strategic areas including business financial restructuring, financial systems development,
implementation, budgeting, strategic planning, organisational transformation and change
management processes.


Andile completed his Articles with Price Waterhouse Coopers (formerly Coopers and
Lybrand). He spent fourteen years working in financial management positions at major South
African corporations, including Impala Platinum and Liberty Life. He is a former Group
executive director of Kagiso Trust Investments, as well as CEO of Prodigy-Coris Asset
Management and MD of Budget Foods (Pty) Ltd.


He is currently an executive director at Xstrata South Africa.


The Board takes this opportunity to welcome Andile in anticipation of the valuable contribution
he will make to the Iliad Board during his term in office.
