RESIGNATION OF JD GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In terms of 3.59(b) and (c) of the Listings Requirements of
the JSE Limited, shareholders are advised that Dr HP (Henk)
Greeff, the Executive Director responsible for Strategy and
Human Resources, has resigned from the boards of JD Group,
JDG Trading Proprietary Limited and the two JDG Insurance
companies with immediate effect, however, Henk will leave
the employ of the Group on 30 June 2013.

The Chairman of the Group, Mr Vusi Khanyile, commended Dr
Greeff, mentioning that “Over recent years, Henk has been
personally involved in driving the long-term strategy change,
transforming the Group into separate diversified retail and
consumer finance entities and strengthening the relationship
with the Steinhoff Group.” David Sussman, the Group’s Chief
Executive Officer, added that “Henk has played a central role 
in this transformation process and for that I thank him on
behalf of all his colleagues.”

Henk summarised his career with the JD Group as follows: "My
ten-year journey with JD Group can be described as a career
highlight. It is very seldom that a Strategy Director has the
opportunity to be part of the strategy journey from idea-
generation, design, planning through to execution. I have had
the privilege of travelling such a complete journey. I am
looking forward to using this experience in my career going
forward”.
