The acquisition is a strategic investment which will enable Invicta to broaden its product offering to the plant hire, construction, quarrying and mining industries in South Africa and Africa. The transaction has been approved by the Competition Commission. CEG will keep the Hyundai distribution separate from its other related equipment operations. Hyundai has proved its quality and competitiveness over the years and it’s technically qualities are well suited for the African environment and will continue to make significant inroads into the higher tonnage excavator market. The transaction falls below the threshold of the categorisation of transactions which require disclosure in terms of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements. Nevertheless, due to the key fit of this acquisition, the directors of Invicta deemed it appropriate to inform shareholders of the transaction.
