APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Further to the announcement released on SENS on 4 February 2013
regarding the resignation of Mr Chris van den Heever, the board of
Mediclinic announces the appointment of Mr Pieter Uys as a non-
executive director of the company with effect from 1 April 2013.
Mr Uys, former Vodacom CEO, is joining the management team of
Remgro Limited (“Remgro”) in April 2013, and will represent
Remgro, which owns 43.4% of Mediclinic’s issued shares.

The board of Mediclinic welcomes Mr Uys as a director and look
forward to his contribution.
