CHANGES TO THE BOARD

The Board of Directors of ArcelorMittal South Africa (“the
Board”) hereby announces that Mr Johnson Mfundiso Njeke will
retire as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the
Board on 4 February 2013. Mr Mpho Makwana will join the Board as
Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 5 February
2013 and succeed Mr Njeke as Chairman.

Mr Njeke was appointed to the Board on 1 January 2002 as an
Independent Non-Executive Director and appointed as Chairman of
the Board on 4 February 2010.

“On behalf of the Board I want to take this opportunity to thank
Mr Njeke for his devoted service, valuable contribution as Board
member over the past eleven years and for his leadership of the
Company over the past three years. We wish him every success for
the future” said Ms Nonkululeko Nyembezi-Heita, Chief Executive
Officer.

Mr Makwana (BAdmin (Hons)) is a management strategist with 20
years’ executive experience in both the private and public
sectors. Mr Makwana is also an Independent Non-Executive Director
on the Boards of JSE listed companies namely Adcock Ingram
Holdings Ltd, Nedbank Group Ltd and Nedbank Ltd.

The Board takes this opportunity to welcome Mr Makwana to the
Board.
