CHANGES TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Astrapak herewith advises of the following changes to
the Board of Directors:

Resignations:

Ms Khumo Portia Shongwe has resigned as a non-independent non-executive director and as a consequence
her alternate, Mr Thabiso Henry Moleme Mashugane, has also resigned, with effect from 24 January 2013.

Appointment:

Mr Gene Lapan has been appointed as the Group Financial Director, with effect from 24 January 2013. Gene
Lapan completed his articles with PricewaterhouseCoopers and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. He
then worked at Murray & Roberts Head Office as a group accountant up until 2010. He joined Astrapak in
February 2010 as Group Financial Manager and Company Secretary. He was appointed Acting Chief Financial
Officer on 1 June 2012.

The Board of Directors wish to thank Ms Shongwe and Mr Mashugane for their invaluable contribution to the
Board of Astrapak during their tenure as directors and thanks Mr Lapan for his efforts during his time as Acting
Chief Financial Officer and wishes him well in his new role.
