The Company’s issued ordinary share capital at today’s date comprises 4,893,194,517 ordinary shares of 11 p
each, which is also the total number of voting rights for the purposes of calculating disclosable interests in the
Company’s ordinary share capital under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

The Company is today making block listing returns to the UK Listing Authority relating to shares issued under
employee share plans between 28 June 2012 and 21 January 2013. Changes to the number of shares in issue
since 28 June 2012 are as follows:
