GRANT OF SHARE OPTIONS UNDER SHARESAVE SCHEME

The Board of Lonrho announces the grant of options by the Company on 7 January 2013, exercisable
on 1 February 2016 in accordance with the rules of the Sharesave Scheme.

The options are over in aggregate, 484,612 ordinary shares of 1p each in the share capital of the
Company and are available to UK based employees under the Company’s Sharesave Scheme, the
establishment of which was approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 29
May 2012.

The Sharesave Scheme is an all-employee share option scheme, which was approved by the UK
Revenue and Customs and which was introduced to encourage wider employee share ownership of
the Company.

The exercise price will be 7.8p per share, being a 5% discount to the market value of the Company’s
shares on the dealing day immediately prior to the date of invitation to apply for options.

The grant of options represents, in aggregate, 0.03% of the Company’s existing issued share capital.
