Shareholders are advised that the annual report of Alert Steel in respect of the year ended 30 June 2012
was distributed to shareholders today and contain no modifications to the reviewed results published on
SENS on 30 October 2012. The consolidated annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June
2012 are available on Alert Steel’s website at www.alertsteel.co.za.

Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of shareholders will be held at 10:00 on , Tuesday,
