                                       TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of section 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the period will differ by at least 20% from the financial
results for the previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are advised that the company is currently finalizing its interim results for the six
months ended 31 August 2012. Earnings per share are expected to be between 0.25 and 0.40
cents per share compared to a loss of 4.2 cents per share for the six months ended 31 August
2011. Headline earnings per share is expected to be between 1.2 and 1.5 cents per share
compared to a loss of 1.9 cents per share for the six months ended 31 August 2011.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the company`s auditors.

The results will be released by Mid December 2012.
