CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Afrox shareholders are hereby advised, in accordance with section 3.59 of the JSE Listings
Requirements, that Messrs.’ Sipho Nkosinathi Maseko and Christopher Frank Wells have been
appointed as independent non-executive directors to the Company’s board with effect from 22
November 2012.

Mr. Maseko has many years executive experience in the telecommunications and petroleum
industries. His previous roles include SA Managing Director and Group Chief Operating Officer
at the Vodacom Group, and Chief Executive Officer for British Petroleum Africa.

Mr. Wells brings to our Board a wealth of experience gained in top companies such as Deloitte,
where his roles included Partner and Head of accounting and auditing. Thereafter, he was Chief
Financial Officer for Rainbow Chicken Ltd and more recently he was the Acting CEO of Transnet.
