MR. ZWELAKHE SISULU

The Board of Aquarius Platinum Limited (AQP) notes with regret the
passing of a former director, Mr. Zwelakhe Sisulu.

Mr. Sisulu, who was 61, was a member of the Board of Aquarius from
February 2005 to February 2007. As chairman of Savannah Resources
(Pty) Ltd, Mr Sisulu was an integral part of the negotiations and
establishment of the BEE consortium which, comprising Savannah
Resources (Pty) Ltd, Chuma Platinum SPV (Pty) Ltd and Malibongwe
Platinum SPV (Pty) Limited), invested R865 million in the Aquarius
group in December 2004. Aquarius was one of the first companies to
achieve full BEE equity status as a result of this.

On behalf of the entire group, the Board of Aquarius extends it
sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Mr.
Zwelakhe Sisulu.
