Cipla Medpro update on Disciplinary Hearing

Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement released on 5 September 2012 where we
advised shareholders that the disciplinary hearing for the CEO (“the Hearing”) had been postponed.

Shareholders are now advised that Mr Smith and his legal advisors have been notified that the
Hearing will commence on 8 October 2012 and have also been furnished with a detailed list of
additional charges – these additional charges do not replace the original list of charges put to Mr
Smith on 27 August 2012. Advocate Gerrit Pretorius SC is not available to chair the Hearing on these
dates so a new independent chairman, Advocate Paul Pretorius SC, has been appointed.

The board will continue to advise shareholders of any developments in this regard.
