NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' AND PDMRS' SHARE DEALINGS PURSUANT TO DTR 3.1.4 R

Lonmin Plc (the “Company”) announces that the performance conditions attaching to awards made
under the rules of the Company’s Long Term Incentive Plan (“LTIP”) on 14 September 2009 have not
been met. As a result, the award over 57,152 shares granted on that date to Ian Farmer, a director
of the Company, lapsed on 14 September 2012.

LTIP awards granted on 14 September 2009 to four PDMRs also lapsed or were waived on 14
September 2012. These awards were held by Albert Jamieson (10,789 shares), Barnard Mokwena
(10,126 shares), Mark Munroe (12,552 shares) and Natascha Viljoen (8,506 shares).
