LISTING OF ADDITIONAL NEWWAVE PLATINUM NOTES

Absa Bank Limited, acting through its Absa Capital division has from commencement of business
today, issued an additional 400,000 Platinum Notes at an issue price of R131.00 per additional
Platinum Note, based on the spot USD price of one-hundredth of a troy ounce of Platinum on
11 September 2012, following subscriptions in respect of 400,000 Platinum Notes.

After the additional issue there will be 908,305 Platinum Notes in issue.
