Cashbuild expects to announce that statutory headline earnings per share and earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2012 are expected to be 85% to 95% higher than those of the prior financial year. Cashbuild adopts the retail calendar, which comprises the reporting period ending on the last Saturday of the month. (Year ended June 2011 - 52 weeks, Year ended June 2012 - 53 weeks) Therefore, when comparing the June 2012 results adjusted for 52 weeks trading, to the comparative figures for the June 2011 year that exclude the effects of the BEE repurchase of shares and subsequent distribution to Trust beneficiaries, the adjusted headline earnings per share and adjusted earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2012 are expected to be 20% to 30% higher than the prior financial year’s adjusted figures.
