In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised that Lazarus Zim has informed the Board of Directors of Telkom
("the Board") of his retirement as chairman and director at the end of the company’s annual
general meeting in October 2012

The Board thanks him for his valuable contribution to Telkom and wishes him well in the
future.
