                                        Request for Trading Halt


Firestone Energy Limited (“Firestone”) hereby requests a trading halt of its securities with immediate
effect.


In accordance with listing rule 17.1, Firestone advises:

   •   A trading halt is being requested following the ASX’s Price Volume query of today’s date. The
       Board of Firestone Energy Limited wish to update Shareholders with the progress of a
       financial restructuring of the Company as first advised to Shareholders on 7 May 2012;
   •   The event that Firestone expects will end the trading halt is an announcement by the
       Company in relation to the progress of the financial restructuring which it anticipates will be
       made on Monday 3 September; and
   •   Firestone is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
