DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE ANG SHARE INSTALMENT

Notice is hereby given that as a result of the dividend declaration relating to
ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI LIMITED (ANG) shares, the holders of ANGSTG share instalments
will receive a ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI LIMITED (ANG) dividend of 100 cents per
Instalment.
Please note a 15% dividend withholding tax (DWT) will be applicable to non-
exempt warrant holders resulting in a net payment of 85 SA cents per Instalment.


Last date to trade cum dividend Friday, 24/08/2012
Ex-dividend Date Monday, 27/08/2012
Record Date Friday, 31/08/2012
