Mr. Coetzee has been appointed to represent Kanthu Nkhama Automotive (Proprietary) Limited, the empowerment company that acquired 25.1% of the total number of Control Instruments shares in issue in June 2012. Mr. Coetzee has appointed Mr. Stephen Smithyman as his alternate director. Harry Coetzee recently retired as Group Chief Executive of the Aberdare Cables Group, a position he held from August 2007. Prior to that he was Group Chief Executive of Powertech IST Holdings for six years. Other positions he has held include managing director of Toyota SA Manufacturing; managing director of Bosal Afrika (Pty) Limited; and executive director of Dorbyl Limited, TOSA division. Mr. Coetzee’s diverse experience at operational and Board levels will add significant value to the Group’s Board. This will be particularly beneficial to Control Instruments as it changes its focus to become a business focused primarily on the South African and sub-Saharan African automotive market.
