CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, it is with sadness and
regret that Growthpoint announces that its Financial Director, Stuart Snowball, passed
away on Friday, 3 August 2012. Stuart was the Company’s Chief Financial Officer from
2003 until his appointment as Financial Director in August 2008.
