TRADING STATEMENT


In terms of section 3.4 (b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that
the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by at least 20% or more from the financial
results for the previous corresponding period.


Shareholders are advised that ZCI is currently finalising its results for the year ended 31 March 2012. ZCI
is expecting a loss per share of between 61 and 67 US cents per share which is up from the loss per
share of 8.47 US cents per share for the comparative period, and a headline loss per share between 17
and 19 US cents, up from a headline loss of 9.31 US cents per share for the comparative period.


The financial information on which this trading statement has been based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company’s auditors. The results for the year ended 31 March 2012 will be published
on SENS on or about 31 July 2012.
