DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE KIO SHARE INSTALMENT

Notice is hereby given that as a result of the dividend declaration relating to
KUMBA IRON ORE LIMITED (KIO) shares, the holders of KIOSTF share instalments
will receive a KUMBA IRON ORE LIMITED (KIO) dividend of 1920 cents per
Instalment.

STC credits of 49.75772 cents have been utilised by KUMBA IRON ORE LIMITED in respect of
the above dividend.
Please note a 15% dividend withholding tax (DWT) will be applicable to non-
exempt warrant holders resulting in a net payment of 1639.46366 SA cents per
Instalment.

Last date to trade cum dividend Friday, 10/08/2012
Ex-dividend Date Monday, 13/08/2012
Record Date Friday, 17/08/2012
Payment Date Monday, 20/08/2012
