REDEMPTION OF IBL05 NOTES ISSUED UNDER THE INVESTEC BANK LIMITED DOMESTIC MEDIUM
TERM NOTE PROGRAMME

Investec Bank Limited “IBL05”

   1. We refer to the IBL05 Notes, ISIN ZAG000070475 (“the IBL05 Notes”), issued in 2009 to the
       aggregate value of R160,000,000 under the          Investec Bank Limited (“Investec”) Domestic
       Medium Term Note Programme, dated 12 February 2003 (“the Programme Memorandum”).
   2. Terms used in this Notice have the same meaning as defined in the Programme Memorandum.
   3. In terms of Condition 48(a) of the Pricing Supplement in respect of the IBL05 Notes, Investec is
       entitled, at its option, to redeem all, and not some, of the IBL05 Notes on 12 August 2012.
   4. The Issuer, in accordance with Condition 11.3 (Redemption at the Option of the Issuer) and
       Condition 19 of the Terms and Conditions of the Programme Memorandum, hereby notifies you
       and the holders of Beneficial Interest in the IBL Notes that the Issuer will redeem all of the IBL05
       Notes on 12 August 2012.
   5. Kindly communicate such early redemption to the holders of Beneficial Interest in Notes.



The bonds will be immobilised in the Central Securities Depository (“CSD”) and settlement will take
