DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2012
The manager and trustee have resolved to make a distribution to holders of dbx World securities recorded in the register on 29 June 2012 in respect of the six months ended 30 June 2012. Details of the distribution are set out below:
* The distribution payable to holders will be an amount in ZAR equivalent to USD 0.01062 (one point zero six two cents) per dbx World security (the USD distribution amount). * The USD distribution amount will be converted to ZAR at the exchange rate prevailing on or about Wednesday, 25 July 2012, details of which will be released on SENS on or about Thursday, 26 July 2012. * The distribution will be paid to holders on or about Tuesday, 31 July 2012.
Holders of dbx World securities who hold 100 000 or more dbx World securities may elect to receive the distribution in USD payable to their foreign USD cash account held at the applicable USD clearer. Such election is to be conveyed to db x-trackers (Proprietary) Limited (db x-trackers) via the holders CSDP in the required format by no later than Monday, 23 July 2012, failing which holders will be paid the ZAR equivalent referred to above. The USD distribution amount (which represents a pro rata portion of the distributable income of the portfolio) has been calculated after deduction of any foreign withholding tax payable by db x-trackers on dividends. The USD distribution amount of USD 0.01062 per dbx World security is calculated as follows:
* Gross foreign dividends of USD 0.02004 (two point zero zero four cents); * Less: Withholding tax of USD 0.00297 (point two nine seven cents);
* Plus: Interest and equalisation of USD 0.00036 (point zero three six cents); * Less: Management fee of USD 0.00681 (point six eight one cents).
