CPN - Capricorn - Declaration Data and Revised Salient Dates CAPRICORN INVESTMENT HOLDINGS LIMITED (RENAMED MINE RESTORATION INVESTMENTS LIMITED PER CIPC ON 1 JUNE 2012) (Registration Number 1987/004821/06) ("Capricorn" or "the Company") Share code: CPN (to be MRI) ISIN: ZAE000149951 DECLARATION DATA AND REVISED SALIENT DATES Further to the SENS announcement published yesterday advising shareholders of the delay in the lifting of the suspension, the change of name on the JSE list and the listing of Mine Restoration Investments Limited (formerly Capricorn) on the AltX, the Company wishes to provide the following further information as well as proposed new salient dates: The outstanding document relates to the delivery of the Western Utilities Corporation (Pty) Ltd share certificate from the Development Bank of South Africa ("DBSA") to the Company. Agreements are in place for the release of the certificate to take place and all conditions have been agreed with the DBSA, the seller and the Company. Administrative processes have caused a delay in the actual handing over of the physical share certificate. Once the share certificate is received, the share register will need to be updated to accurately reflect the transfer of shares. It is expected that this will be resolved by no later than 15 June 2012. A finalisation announcement will be published on SENS by no later than Friday, 15 June 2012. SALIENT DATES Action Date Last date to trade shares in the old name of Friday, 22 June 2012 Capricorn of no par value shares in order to be recorded as a shareholder by the record date on Listing of and trading in new Mine Restoration Monday, 25 June 2012 Investments Shares with no par value under the new JSE Code MRI and ISIN ZAE000164562 on the Alternative Exchange Record date for determining those shareholders whose Friday, 29 June 2012 shares will be subject to the change of name on Dematerialised shareholders will have their accounts Monday, 2 July 2012 at their CSDP or broker updated on Date of issue and posting of new Mine Restoration Monday, 2 July 2012 Investments share certificates to certificated shareholders, provided that the old share certificates have been lodged by 12h00 on the record date (share certificates received after this time will be posted within 5 business days of receipt) on or about Notes 1. The abovementioned dates and times are South African dates and times and are subject to amendment. Any such amendment will be announced on SENS and in the press. 2.
