AIA/AIB - Ascension - Results of the Private Placement of Ascension A-Linked Units and Ascension B-Linked Units and Listing on the Main Board of the JSE Limited ASCENSION PROPERTIES LIMITED (formerly Grey Jade Trade and Invest 85 (Proprietary) Limited) (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa on 23 August 2006) (Registration number 2006/026141/06) A-Linked Units: JSE code: AIA ISIN: ZAE000161881 B-Linked Units: JSE code: AIB ISIN: ZAE000161899 ("Ascension" or "the Company") RESULTS OF THE PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF ASCENSION A-LINKED UNITS AND ASCENSION B- LINKED UNITS AND LISTING ON THE MAIN BOARD OF THE JSE LIMITED Investors are referred to Ascension`s Pre-listing statement issued on 31 May 2012 and to the announcement released on SENS on 31 May 2012, which included the Company`s abridged pre-listing statement, detailing the offer by way of the Private Placement of Ascension A-Linked Units and Ascension B-Linked Units to Invited Investors and the subsequent listing on the JSE of the Company`s A- Linked Units and B-Linked Units. Ascension has successfully raised an aggregate amount of R374 million through the Private Placement, as further detailed below. Ascension placed the full 65,000,000 of its A-Linked Units with Invited Investors under the Private Placement at an issue price of R3.80 per A-Linked Unit, raising an amount of R247 million. The placement of the A-Linked Units was over-subscribed. Ascension placed 66,827,231 of its B-Linked Units with Invited Investors under the Private Placement at an issue price of R1.90 per B-Linked Unit, raising an amount of R127 million. Successful Applicants under the Private Placement will be advised of their allocation of A-Linked Units and B-Linked Units by no later than Friday, 8 June 2012. The allocated A-Linked Units and the allocated B-Linked Units will be transferred to Successful Applicants on a `delivery-versus-payment` basis on the date of listing being Monday, 11 June 2012. Accordingly, 66,500,000 Ascension A-Linked Units and 265,387,231 Ascension B- Linked Units will be listed in the "Real Estate - Real Estate Holdings and Development" sector of the Main Board of the JSE with effect from the commencement of trade on the JSE on Monday, 11 June 2012. Ascension A-Linked Units will trade under the abbreviated name "Ascen A", JSE Code "AIA" and ISIN Code "ZAE000161881" and Ascension B-Linked Units will trade under the abbreviated name "Ascen B", JSE Code "AIB" and ISIN Code "ZAE000161899".
