Results of Annual General Meeting                                               
Shareholders are advised that the special and ordinary resolutions proposed in  
the notice to shareholders dated 7 March 2012 were passed by the requisite      
majority at the Annual General Meeting of Sanlam held at 14:00 on Wednesday, 6  
June 2012.                                                                      
The special resolution regarding the adoption of the new Memorandum of          
Incorporation in terms of section 16(1)(c)(ii) of the Companies Act, No 71 of   
2008, as amended, will be filed with the Companies and Intellectual Property    
Commission.
