FBR - Famous Brands Limited - Appointment of a non-executive director and an executive director FAMOUS BRANDS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1969/004875/06) JSE Share code: FBR & ISIN code: ZAE000053328 ("Famous Brands") APPOINTMENT OF A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR In compliance with sections 3.59 to 3.62 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Famous Brands is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors to the Board. Darren Hele, (BCom.), has been appointed as an Executive Director to the Board of Famous Brands. He joined Famous Brands in 2003 and served as Managing Director of Wimpy in South Africa and the United Kingdom for eight years and three years respectively. Darren was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Famous Brands` Franchising division in May 2011 and has responsibility for managing the Group`s brand portfolio. Santie Botha, (B.Econ Honours), has been appointed as a Non-executive Director to the Board of Famous Brands. Santie is currently Chancellor of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth and a Non-executive Director of Tiger Brands and Imperial Holdings. She served as an Executive Director of the MTN Group (2003 - 2010) and prior to that, of ABSA Bank (1996 - 2003). In 2010 Santie received the Business Woman of the Year award. The Board welcomes both Darren and Santie and looks forward to their contributions. Shareholders are advised that these appointments will be with effect from Friday, 1 June 2012.
