SKY - Sea Kay Holdings Limited - Trading statement for the interim period 31 December 2011 and update on the cautionary announcement released on 18 April 2012 SEA KAY HOLDINGS LIMITED (Registration number 2006/004967/06) (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) JSE code: SKY ISIN: ZAE000102380 ("Sea Kay" or "the company") TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE INTERIM PERIOD 31 DECEMBER 2011 AND UPDATE ON THE CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT RELEASED ON 18 APRIL 2012 In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that for the six months ended 31 December 2011, Sea Kay expects to reflect a basic loss of between 24.91 and 29.89 cents per share and a headline loss of between 3.40 and 4.08 cents per share. After protracted negotiations with the Lonerock vendors, no agreement could be reached, resulting in the Lonerock vendors exercising their right to re-purchase all of their shares previously held by the company (49.99%). The financial effects of and additional commentary will be published with the interim financial results for 31 December 2011. Shareholders are therefore advised that the relevant portion of the cautionary issued on SENS on 18 April 2012 is therefore withdrawn. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
