NEWFSA - Newfunds NEWSA Index Portfolio - Distribution Announcement - Period Ended 31 March 2012 NEWFUNDS NEWSA INDEX PORTFOLIO Share code: NEWFSA ISIN: ZAE000104055 (the "ETF") A Portfolio in the NewFunds Collective Investment Scheme in Securities registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45 of 2002 DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT - PERIOD ENDED 31 March 2012 Further to the announcement released on SENS on 8 March 2012, holders of ETF securities are advised that there will be a distribution for the period 31 March 2012 of 15 cents per ETF security. The distribution is comprised entirely of local dividends. The distribution will be paid on Wednesday, 2 May 2012 to all holders recorded on the register on Friday, 30 March 2012. There has been a delay in making the announcement which was expected to have been made by 23 April 2012 in order to allow the issuer to obtain clarity on whether Dividends Withholding Tax, effective 1 April 2012, would be applicable to distributions paid after 1 April 2012.
