RAR - Rare Holdings Limited - Changes to the board of directors RARE HOLDINGS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) Registration Number: 2002/025247/06 Share Code: RAR ISIN: ZAE000092714 ("Rare" or "the Company") CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are hereby informed of the following changes to the Board of Directors of Rare ("the Board"): The appointment of Mr. Wally van Coller as Chief Executive Officer with effect from Friday 13 April 2012. Wally attended the University of Stellenbosch achieving an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. In 1988 he was awarded a Masters Degree in Business Leadership from UNISA. He also holds a Government Certificate of Competency as a Mechanical Engineer. Wally was previously Managing Director of various companies including among other William Tell Industries and DPI Plastics. He joined RARE in June 2011 as Operations Director. The appointment of Mr. Renier Viljoen as Financial Director with effect from Friday 13 April 2012. Renier obtained his B.Accounting Hons degree in 2006 from the University of Stellenbosch. He served his articles at Greenwoods Chartered Accountants in Cape Town and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2009.
