The activated carbon kiln will produce a world sought after commodity used for purification and filtering of water, air, and the reduction of certain precious metals including gold. It is the only plant of its kind in Southern Africa. The entire annual production of approximately 1 250 tons from the initial kiln will be bought by Jacobi AG in terms of a take-off agreement. Jacobi AG is currently the fifth largest producer of activated carbon globally.
