HWW - Hardware Warehouse Limited - Trading Statement HARDWARE WAREHOUSE LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number: 2007/004302/06) Share code: HWW ISIN: ZAE000104253 ("Hardware" or "the Company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the six month interim period ended 31 December 2011 by management has indicated that earnings per share is expected to be between 3.88 cents and 5.58 cents and headline earnings per share is expected to be between 3.98 cents and 5.68 cents, compared to the earnings per share of 8.52 cents and the headline earnings per share of 8.49 cents for the six month period ended 31 December 2010. Earnings per share has decreased due to the recognition of a once-off deferred tax credit in the previous corresponding interim period. However, profit from operations has increased by at least 20% and profit before taxation has increased by at least 30% for the six months ended 31 December 2011. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company`s auditors. Hardware`s interim results are expected to be released on SENS on or about 27 March 2012.
