Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock      
Exchange for block listings totalling 7,625,000 ordinary shares of US$ 0.10     
each in the Company. These shares are being allotted to trade on the London     
Stock Exchange and will be admitted to the Official List pursuant to the        
Company`s obligations under the following schemes:

SABMiller plc Executive Share Option (No. 2) Scheme         2,300,000 shares

The shares will rank equally with the existing issued ordinary shares of the
