CMP - Cipla Medpro South Africa Limited - Confirmation of trading statement released on 23 February 2012 CIPLA MEDPRO SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 2002/018027/06) (ISIN Number: ZAE000128179 Share Code: CMP) ("Cipla Medpro" or "the Company") CONFIRMATION OF TRADING STATEMENT RELEASED ON 23 FEBRUARY 2012 The Company released a trading statement on SENS yesterday ("the trading statement") stating that it expects earnings per share ("EPS") and headline earnings per share ("HEPS") for the 12 months ended 31 December 2011 to be between 77% and 85% higher than the EPS and HEPS for the prior corresponding period. The Company also reported in the trading statement that it expects that the increase in normalised EPS and HEPS will be less than 20% (lower than 20%) when compared to the results for the 12 months ended 31 December 2010. Unfortunately the Business Day has incorrectly reported on the trading statement. They have inaccurately reported that Cipla Medpro`s normalised HEPS is expected to fall by more than 20%. This is grossly inaccurate and shareholders are urged to only rely on the accurate information released on SENS by the Company. The matter has been taken up with the Business Day, The Press Ombudsman and our legal advisors and we have notified the JSE accordingly. 24 February 2012 Durban Investment Bank and Sponsor Nedbank Capital Date: 24/02/2012 13:06:01 Supplied by www.sharenet.co.za Produced by the JSE SENS Department.
