KAP hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that both headline earnings per share and earnings per share for the six months ended 31 December 2011 will be between 16.0 cents and 18.0 cents (2010: 13.9 cents). The proposed acquisition of the Steinhoff Industrial Assets ("the Acquisition") has not been anticipated in the numbers on which the trading statement was based, as the Acquisition is still subject to regulatory approval as a condition precedent. The financial information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by KAP`s auditors. The unaudited results for the six months ended 31 December 2011 are expected to be published on or about 7 March 2012.
