A portfolio in the db x-trackers Collective Investment Scheme in Securities,    
registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control        
Act, 45 of 2002.                                                                
DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT - SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2011                   
The manager and trustee have resolved to make a distribution to holders of      
dbx FTSE securities recorded in the register on 30 December 2011 in respect     
of the six months ended 31 December 2011.                                       
Details of the distribution are set out below:                                  
*    The distribution payable to holders will be an amount in ZAR equivalent    
    to GBP 0.06474 (six point four seven four pence) per dbx FTSE security      
(the "GBP distribution amount").                                            
*    The GBP distribution amount will be converted to ZAR at the exchange       
    rate prevailing on or about Wednesday, 25 January 2012, details of          
    which will be released on SENS on or about Thursday, 26 January 2012.       
*    The distribution will be paid to holders on or about Tuesday, 31           
    January 2012.                                                               
The GBP distribution amount (which represents a pro rata portion of the         
distributable income of the portfolio) has been calculated after deduction      
of any foreign withholding tax payable by db x-trackers on dividends. The       
GBP distribution amount of GBP 0.06474 per dbx FTSE security is calculated      
as follows:                                                                     
*    Gross foreign dividends of GBP 0.10799  (ten point seven nine nine         
pence);                                                                     
*    Less:  Withholding tax of GBP 0.01176 (one point one seven six pence);     
*    Plus interest and equalisation of GBP 0.00044 (point zero four four        
    pence);                                                                     
*    Less:  Management fee of GBP 0.03193 (three point one nine three           
    pence).

treatment of the GBP distribution amount and the withholding tax.
