TRADING STATEMENT                                                               
Zurich SA is currently finalising its results for the year ended 31 December    
2011, which should be released on SENS on or about 6 February 2012.             
Earnings per share is anticipated to be in a range of 963 cents to 1082 cents   
per share (2010: 1186 cents per share) and headline earnings per share in the   
range of 920 cents per share to 1044 cents per share (2010: 1241 cents per      
share).                                                                         
The forecast financial information on which this trading statement is based has 
not been reviewed and reported on by the Company`s external auditors.
