Lex van Vught has advised the Company that having served as a Director of the Company since 2003 and as Chairman since 2006, he believes it is appropriate to stand down. After careful consideration of external and internal candidates for the position of Chairman of the Company, the Board of Tiger Brands has appointed Andre Parker as Chairman of the Company with effect from the close of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 14 February 2012. Andre Parker has been a director of Tiger Brands since 2007. Andre has had significant experience in consumer brands having held the position of Managing Director for Africa and Asia of SABMiller plc. He is a director of Distell Limited and is Chairman of TSB Sugar.
