Clearance to deal in these shares was obtained in accordance with AVI`s         
policy with regard to director`s dealings as well as the Listings               
Requirements of the JSE. The above sale transaction was done on market.         
These options were due to lapse on 31 March 2012 and have been sold ahead       
of the closed period for AVI`s interim results commencing on 31 December        
2011 and ending with the planned announcement of interim results on             
Monday, 12 March 2012.
