PAM - Palabora - Changes to Directorate PALABORA MINING COMPANY LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1956/002134/06) JSE code: PAM ISIN: ZAE000005245 ("Palabora" or "the company")) CHANGES TO DIRECTORATE In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the Palabora board of directors ("the Board"), hereby announces the following changes: Ms Jo-Ann Yuen has resigned as a non-executive director of the Board, with effect from 30 November 2011. Ms Yuen has changed roles within Rio Tinto moving from the Copper product group to Kennecott Utah Copper as Chief Financial Advisor. With effect from 1 December 2011, Mr Jean-Sebastien Jacques has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company. Mr Jacques is currently President of International Operations within the Rio Tinto Copper group. He has extensive experience in the metal and mining industry and in the management of international teams. He has held several senior positions including group strategy director for TATA Steel and corporate development and strategy director for Corus group. Mr Jacques holds a Master of Science with honours from Ecole Centrale Paris.
