PKH - Protech Khuthele Holdings Limited - Trading statement Protech Khuthele Holdings Limited Registration number 2000/024352/06 JSE code: PKH ISIN: ZAE000101986 ("Protech" or "the Group") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of section 3.4 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on will be more than 20% different from that of the previous corresponding period. Protech is currently finalising its results for the six months ended 31 August 2011. As a result of the continuing difficult trading conditions, the directors of Protech anticipate that headline earnings per share and earnings per share, for the six months ended 31 August 2011, will decline by between 35% - 40% and 50% - 55%, respectively from those reported for the previous corresponding period being the six months ended 31 August 2010. The difficult trading conditions can largely be attributed to the delay in capital projects in the mining sector and extremely competitive market conditions across the entire construction sector. Despite challenging market conditions, Protech maintains a realistic pipeline of work in excess of R1.5 billion. The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The Group`s interim results for the six months ended 31 August 2011 are expected to be published on SENS on or about 14 November 2011.
