CNL - Control Instruments Group Limited - Trading statement CONTROL INSTRUMENTS GROUP LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number: 1964/003987/06) Share Code: CNL ISIN: ZAE000001665 ("the Company" or "the Group") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as it is reasonably certain that their financial results for the current reporting period will differ from the previous corresponding period by more than 20%. For the six months ended 30 June 2011 the loss per share is expected to be between 4.9 cents and 5.7 cents and the headline loss per share is expected to be between 4.3 cents and 5.1 cents. The Group reported earnings per share of 1.61 cents and headline earnings per share of 1.73 cents for the year ended 31 December 2010 and a loss of 1.26 cents per share and a headline loss of 1.20 cents per share for the six months ended 30 June 2010. Significantly tougher than expected trading conditions were experienced in the second quarter, particularly in the OEM sector, and this negatively affected the Group`s results for the period. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company`s auditors. The results of the Company for the six months ended 30 June 2011 will be released on SENS on or about 15 August 2011.
