PGL - Pallinghurst Resources Limited - FabergE unveils First Couture Eggs since 1917 PALLINGHURST RESOURCES LIMITED (Previously Pallinghurst Resources (Guernsey) Limited) (Incorporated in Guernsey) (Guernsey registration Number: 47656) (South African external company registration number 2009/012636/10) Share code on the BSX: PALLRES ISIN: GG00B27Y8Z93 Share code on the JSE: PGL ("Pallinghurst" or the "Company") FABERGE UNVEILS FIRST COUTURE EGGS SINCE 1917 Pallinghurst is pleased to announce that FabergE has unveiled the first couture egg pendants since 1917, collectively named "Les Fameux de FabergE". The first creations from this collection, launched to coincide with Paris Couture Week July 2011, mark the beginning of a series of twelve one-off high jewellery egg pendants, retailing at up to US$600,000. They include the Diaghilev Egg ("Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it"), an egg comprising diamond circles shimmering with rubies, with a secret drawer containing a surprise, and the Diamond Egg ("Genius is simplicity"), a high- tech titanium egg entirely invisibly-set with white diamonds in which the diamonds outweigh the titanium frame, a feat never before achieved. The collection will be exhibited at FabergE in Geneva from 18 July to 21 August 2011. The eggs also pave the way for private commissions, reflecting Peter Carl FabergE`s passion for creating personalised gifts, and further rekindling the tradition of FabergE as gifts for special occasions. The collection pays homage to the legendary Imperial Eggs created by Peter Carl FabergE for the Imperial Romanov family. The egg is the symbol of rebirth and in Russia it marked the renewal of spring after the long, harsh Russian winter. Celebrated photographer Mario Testino, and Carine Roitfeld, former Editor-in- Chief of French Vogue, have produced FabergE`s first advertising campaign with Katharina Flohr, FabergE`s Managing and Creative Director. At the same time, FabergE launched "Les Frissons de FabergE", a collection of fine jewellery egg pendants, with a repertoire of around 60 different designs, at lower price points. FabergE`s smaller egg pendants proved a fashionable form of social currency before 1917 and were the hallmark of FabergE`s tradition of gifting. Brian Gilbertson commented: "The egg pendants are a defining moment in FabergE`s development and mark a major step in its renaissance. Since FabergE was relaunched nearly two years ago in conjunction with the FabergE family, the company has introduced four new collections and opened its first salon in Geneva. Following the unveiling of the first egg pendants, FabergE`s quintessence is back. FabergE is an outstanding example of a once neglected resource, which, given a vision, devotion and funding, is once again destined for greatness."
