PLL - Platfields - Revised Trading Statement PLATFIELDS LIMITED (Registration number 2002/005851/06) Share code: PLL ISIN: ZAE000151825 ("Platfields" or "the company") REVISED TRADING STATEMENT Platfields shareholders are referred to the trading statement released on SENS on Monday, 16 May 2011, wherein it was stated that the company expected to report a loss per share ("LPS") and a headline loss per share ("HLPS") of between 17.14 and 11.86 cents per share for the year ended 28 February 2011, translating to a decrease of between 35% and 55% in respect of both the LPS and the HLPS for the year ended 28 February 2010. Shareholders are hereby advised that the trading statement has been revised and that the LPS is expected to be between 9.23 and 11.87 cents per share and that the HLPS is expected to be between 3.24 and 4.16 cents per share for the year ended 28 February 2011, translating to a decrease of between 55% and 65% in respect of both the LPS and the HLPS for the year ended 28 February 2010. The information on which this trading statement has been based has not yet been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
