Trading statement in respect of the year ended 28 February 2011.                
Famous Brands results for the year ended 28 February 2011 will be released on   
SENS on 23 May 2011. In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a
listed company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as a          
reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period 
to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous   
corresponding period.                                                           
The Group expects that headline earnings per share (HEPS), diluted HEPS,        
earnings per share (EPS) and diluted EPS (calculated on an IFRS basis) for the  
year ended 28 February 2011 are likely to be 16% to 20% higher than the         
comparable numbers in the 2010 financial year.                                  
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Group`s       
external auditors.
